Book

After many other projects I found the time to write a Drupal 6 book and record a new Drupal 6 video training.

Of course, it is in German language because of my origin. The book will be available on line for free at http://drupal.cocoate.com. It consists of three parts. Today I have published part 1 (the introduction and chapter 1-3). Part 2 will be published at August, 4th and part 3 at August, 11th.

The German Drupal video training is released and is seems, that it will be translated or better "new recorded" in French language.

For the book, the German publisher negotiates with an American publisher for a translation and they asked me to translate the table of content and the chapter 11, which is about CCK. My daughter Isabell did the tranlation of the texts and I did new screenshots. So a small part of the book is now earlier available for free in English than in German language .

**German computer book publisher Addison-Wesley makes bestselling "Joomla! 1.0" book available for free download**
Munich-based computer book publishers Addison-Wesley have decided to make their author Hagen Graf's bestselling book on Joomla! 1.0 avalaible for free download.
The PDF is fully functional, i.e. printable.
It was the book's author Hagen Graf himself who suggested to offer the content for download. His editor Boris Karnikowski, responsible of Addison-Wesley's open source book program, did not need to be convinced. "The big success of Hagen Graf's book on version 1.0 allows us to publish up to date editions like the one on 1.5 we are currently selling", he says. But while Joomla! is steadily moving towards the 1.5 release, version 1.0 is still famous with many users and - until 1.5 publishes - the only recommended choice for new installations. I have never done this in english language
So I searched a long time in the web and I found Bokononism.
It is the fictional religion practiced by many of the characters in Kurt Vonnegut's novel Cat's Cradle.
Bokonon is the founder of the religion. He was born Lionel Boyd Johnson.

The Bokononists uses a special vobabulary with words like this:

Since Dec, 8, the new drupal version 4.7 is available.
Is has a lot of good things under the hood and includes cool new features. The integration of Ajax technology make the administration easier. But read by yourself and try it.

Today, Packts Publishing released the english translation of my german Mambo book. It is my first book in english language now and I hope not the last
They also released an interview with me, which was written before the trouble between miro & devteam was starting.

I hope that this situation is cleared very soon and that the book can help to spread the Mambo System (and all its possible forks ) in the world.

I'm proud to present the translation of my german Mambo book. It will be available in August 2005. I rather think that it will be the first english Mambo book on this small planet
