Joomla! - a suaheli word

Today I received this email:

Hi!
I am an Arab from Morocco and wanted to pass you a small piece of  information only.
You said in your book that The word Joomla! is derived from Jumla from Swahili and means "all together".
That is correct but what people don't know is that Swahili word is borrowed from Arabic and means the same thing:
"Sum", "All", "All together",

Elarbi

The links between the languages are very interesting for me. In 2004 we had a project in Tanzania, Dar es Salam (دار السلام )and I have heard the language Suaheli all around me. I have also seen many arabian and indian people around.

Thank you for the information Elarbi Smiling
