Joomla! session at oscms summit 2007

Submitted by Hagen Graf on Tue, 2007-02-13 20:19.

I have offered a session about Joomla! at oscms-summit 2007.

Joomla! is such a young community.
Many people think:
"It will take another year or two before the Joomla! community is as organized and enthusiastic and involved like other communities, f.e. Drupal".
So, until this will happen, I offer an overview of the powerful Joomla! CMS in the meantime.
The more we learn about one another's projects, the stronger our projects will become. Each community has so much to offer.
I have written books in German language about OS projects (Drupal, Joomla!, Apache) and I am sure the Joomla! overview will be interesting for you Smiling.
Thank you Amy for the idea to this session.
To have not only my view in that session, please visit my blog entry about this session and write a comment which part of Joomla! (and Version) I have to cover and what is important to say about the people behind Joomla!.

Please help me with comments what topics I have to cover. What could be interesting for the people there?
Thank you very much for commenting und sorry for my "Spaghetti" English Smiling.

Thanks, Hagen!!!!

I just knew you'd be kind enough to share Joomla! on behalf of our community in Sunnyvale, California for the 2nd Annual Open Source Content Management System conference. I wish I was going to be there and I would *certainly* attend your session if I were.

I would also bring my copy of your "Building Websites with Joomla!" book (and my Mambo one you wrote, as well). I would ask you to sign them - but you would have to forgive how beaten up the books now look. They have been *well used!!*

I very much appreciate you leading this session! Next year, I hope we have many geeky developers attending and you can sit in on one of their sessions!

Amy Smiling
PS - I'd apologize for my poor German, but I only speak one language, Hagen! Anyone who speaks in a non-native language should *never* apologize. It is those of us who only speak English who should apologize! Eye-wink Take care! Safe travels!
